I can't recommend him too highly. The operation was painless and quick and totally successful. The six-week meeting was relaxed and reassuring. He is kind and takes time to explain things, is practical and friendly. The whole NHS experience was amazing. Not that I plan to repeat it just yet !

Mr. Rogers explained everything fully before the operation and answered all my questions. He came to check on me in the evening after the operation at the Nuffield Haywards Heath and the next morning was back at 7.30 am. Each day I was an in patient he either visited or had telephone contact with the staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending him. His care was excellent and I could not fault him at all.

The actual operation went well and Mr Rogers and his operating staff were really good, kind and caring. At my 6 week visit he seemed really interested in how I was doing…..however I wish the surgeons liaised more with the physios. I think the surgical team would benefit from understanding the 'targets' set for the patients in our booklet we get on discharge e.g. knee bend after TKR surgery. I know the surgeons are the 'technicians' but follow-through after this huge and traumatic operation is essential for peace of mind and recovery. I was lucky I was seeing a hospital physio a week after my 6 week review, but I know many don't. This recovery is long….and I think we need to feel there is more support available….even on the phone. GP's are not the ones to ask about orthopaedic aftercare.
